ORCID linkage for Reviewers and your profile

Brief reminder that if you have registered as a reviewer for the Journal of Open, Flexible and Distance Learning (JOFDL.nz) and you have linked your ORCID registration to your profile, your completed reviews are listed in the ‘Peer Review’ section of your ORCID listing. Quite a few of our reviewers have not yet authenticated an ORCID connection. Please do so. It gives you more credibility and visibility as someone who is contributing to our collective academic community.

if you have not yet registered as a reviewer please consider doing so. Visit the journal site and login. Then update your profile to ensure you have completed your biography and your research interests. This is critical because this is what editors use to ensure the right reviewers are assigned. Without it you are unlikely to ever be called upon to review.

At the end of 2026 anyone who has not completed the research interest field in their profile will be removed as a reviewer, to keep our records clean.

While you are there remember to include your ORCID registration so any further reviews can be credited to you. This means your ORCID record simply registers that fact that you reviewed for the journal in any given year, not any details as to what you reviewed or any outcome.
